I was in Palau between March 6 and April 23, 2008 during which period I had over 30 days of diving with Sam's. It was my trip #7 to this beautiful Micronesian state which has been one of my favorite dive destinations on different continents and oceans. I have been a full time traveller, mostly underwater, since 1999.
I have no hesitation to recommend Palau to divers who have Asia in mind and Sam's Tours to those who will not accept anything less than a first class service. I wish to thank all the Sam's staff, especially Aireen & Russelle in the office, DMs Jason, JR, Harry, Matsuo & Daniel and boat driver Jimmy. They are the real professionals. See you folks again in November this year.

Dear Dermot,
back in chilly Hong Kong i'd like to say thank you for the great time i had in Palau and at Sam's Tours .
The girls (Lalii and Beverly) and the captain took me on a half day kayaking and snorkeling tour.
Never seen so many colourful fish in my life. Your guides took care of us excellently, provided lots of background information on the islands and it's sealife, birds and history. These islands are embracing you with their warmth and genuine friendliness from the very first moment. This is the best place i have ever been to. Your friendly staff seemed aware and of the uniqueness of their country and happy to share Palau 's scenery with guests from other parts of the world.
I was lucky to bump into the right people one hour after I arrived in Palau . It was tremendous to join the big table at The Taj, get a lift to the Kramers and then listening to your recommendation on what to do the next day over a few pints of Red Rooster beer. It helped to get the best out of my one and a half day blitz tour. The snorkeling was excellent and i got hooked and must come back for more. As you will have guessed, i have not missed my flight, so I did see the stone money on Yap and got back to Hong Kong in time.
My project finishes after Chinese New Year, after that i will come back to Palau in early March. Hope to stay longer and do more tours. Maybe even learn some diving. Once again thanks to your excellent staff for their warm welcome and hope to see you again in March.
January 2008
Greetings from Hong Kong,

My husband and I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you for one of the absolute best vacations we have ever had. Palau was everything and more than we imagined. We had such an amazing time and not only the diving but your continual assistance exceeded our expectations.

Just a quick one to say a HUGE thanks to all at Sam's for a fantastic visit to Palau (my first, Neville's 3rd - we will be back!). The dive operation at Sam's is one of the best we have encountered in many trips to various Pacific dive locations and, of course, the diving was out of this world! Thanks to all the girls in the office, who were always happy to help and unfailingly cheerful to us strange Aussies! Big thanks to JB, Daniel and Jim, who made our diving experience so enjoyable - and to all the boat captains, you guys are the best! Best Wishes to all at Sam's from (not so sunny at the moment!) I was in Palau diving with Sam's between Feb.10 and Feb.27, 2006.
I wish to thank all your staff for their attention and service. The office staff was very helpful and boat drivers professional. I had the luxury of having Satoru Matsuo as my Divemaster for the whole week, as Matsuo was one of the best dive-guides I have ever had for my 1000+ dives. Matsuo was professional, attentive and did everything possible to make sure that our dives were safe and fun. His smiles and pouring warm water on me when he spotted me feeling a little cold after the dives will be remembered forever.
I cannot wait to come back and dive with him again in a few months' time.
Thanks again, Matsuo and everybody.

Thanks, we did have a really wonderful time in Palau and you guys at Sam's
made it very special. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and fun and
helpful and great ambassadors for the country. I wished it were longer, so we
could do more dives and other fun stuff and it was sad for us to leave!! However,
we got some really nice photos and one of Jim's DVD to look at when we feel forlorn
about being back at work, for me in the hot dry west of Queensland. Jody and
I went for a dive in Byron Bay, Australia, on Saturday just gone, and the water
was a verrry chilly 19deg C. BRRR! Lots of wobbygongs, green turtles
and a big loggerhead, but Oh how we longed for the balmy tropical 28deg waters
of Palau! We hope to be back there oneday...Thanks for you hospitality, kind

our needs & solved little problems that came up. A great guide to have around.
You
have a fantastic island country & we really hope that Palau will be able
to take up the challenge of combining environmental conservation & mass tourism-
which is obviously now becoming part of everyday life in Palau- this combination
of mass & specialised tourism is often hard to balance- so we look forward to
visiting again in the not so distant future. Thanks again to everyone who made
our trip with you so good. Kind regards. Rebecca Wilkinson.

Russelle,
Honestly that all of my team cannot forget the wonderful trip in Palau and specially
with your staff. For the survey, I already completed and Sam's is the best operator
in my point of view. As told you before, I will plan my next trip to Palau in
2007 cause next year my team will go to Red Sea. However my team joke to me that
they don't want to dive again in the next few years cause they cant forget those
wonderful marine life in Palau and they need time to forget about this. Ha Ha
Ha that mean they love Palau so much and specifically with your staff. Wish see
all of you again in Palau and keep in touch.

Yes, we had a FABULOUS time in Palau on our honeymoon. After reading up on
the islands and diving, we had very high expectations prior to our trip. Very
often that sets you up for disappointment, but our experience in Palau was even
better than we had anticipated! The islands were absolutely gorgeous and the
diving was some of the best we've ever done. And it wasn't just the quality of
the sites or beauty of the surroundings -- the people at Sam's were wonderful!
Jim (our divemaster), Keith, Jim (the videographer), Ding, the boat captains,
the women in the office... extremely friendly, informative, and fun to be around.
Everyone was fantastic, and helped to make this one of our best trips ever. We
will definitely be back ;-) Thank you again for a most memorable trip!!

I have suffered from incredible fear of deep water and fish all my life (I'm 57 years old). Somehow our guide, Malahi, persuaded me to take the plunge. My friends and family can't believe I did it, and neither can I. Without Malahi, I would have missed this incredible experience. She is an amazingly wonderful guide and human being. I have no idea how she did it, but I will be eternally grateful to her. My husband, Stephen, went diving with Keith. My husband has been diving in Canada, Okinawa, Bali, Mexico, etc. and he said that Keith is the best diving guide he has ever had the pleasure of diving with. We don't usually write fan letters, but we would recommend Sam's for anyone lucky enough to get to Palau - even if you swear that you would never set foot in the water! Their expertise, experience, and kindness will make your trip worthwhile and unforgettable. In fact, we were there in early February, and we're returning again next week. Thanks to everyone at Sam's for their professionalism and friendliness! Gaylene & Stephen

I've been back almost 2 months now and I still can't get the beautiful island of Palau out of my head. A great proportion of this experience is as a result of the time spent with Sam's Tours. The kayak tour with Jake was great (you belong on TV man!).. Many, many thanks to Keith, Yuka and Stefan who made all of my dive experiences awe inspiring, educational, safe, but most of all, fun! All underwater filmmakers want the opportunity to film marine mammals. They are just incredibly beautiful and have evolved in seemingly perfect harmony with their environment. Their movements underwater are truly the definition of grace. Sam Scott suggested that I make a mount for my camera on one of his diver propulsion devices (underwater scooter). Maybe we might find a friendly school of dolphins on one of our days out to sea and I would get a chance to film them. On the fifth day out that's what happened - we came across a school of about 30 very playful Bottlenose dolphins. I dropped into the water and spent about 20 minutes chasing, and being chased by them. Great experience...the film is good. See it at http://www.oatesoceanimages.com

Just came back from a spring break diving trip with Sam's. It was our second trip to Palau and second time with Sam's. The diving was great! My friend and I are advanced divers but had 2 friends with us that were newly certified. I think the rest of the guest on our boat were also newly certified. Maggie guided us and did a great job in providing dives that appealed to the entire group. Maggie is very knowledgable and we all felt comfortable asking her questions. We also got a DVD done by Kevin. Thanks, Kevin, it was a terrific job. We will have the memories to share and keep for a lifetime. We are looking forward to returning to Palau and diving with Sam's. What a wonderful web page to bring back memoires of those days long ago when I fought the battles on Angaur and Peleliu in 1944, departing in 1945. Unit: G Company, 321st Infantry Regiment, 81st Infantry Division. after shedding some blood on Peleliu I was fortunate to have gone to our company's rest area on the island of Garakayo, just north of which was a deep channel where we fished, often with hand grenades to supplement our C rations. Our troops had fun on the reef finding cat's eyes and other beautiful shells. I also recall an interesting experience of watching tree-climbing small fish, scampering up roots to catch flies. We had a tent camp behind the coconut grove that on one occasion experienced a typhoon, dropping a few trees on some tents and blowing away others. We found agroup of natives on an island north of us that we evacuated back to Angaur; the chief of the group left an outrigger canoe with me after teaching me how to sail it ... a fantastic experience, as was learning how to handle the throw net. Far too seen we had to leave, on to new Caledonia for a rest and then on to Leyte where we enjoyed the ending of the war. I finished my war tour in northern Japan, Misawa and Sapporo. Thanks for the memories. George Rasula

Sam's Tours is world-class in my book. Spent eight days diving the Blue Corner, Blue Hole, Ngegebus, Saies Corner and Ulong. After a week in torrential rains on Yap, Palau was absolutely gorgeous, with sunny skies, flat seas and visibility beyond my wildest dreams. Russelle Caraig runs a superb operation, and the divemasters (especially Jonathan), boat drivers and staff, including Irene and Maggie, made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Enjoyed the dives, conversations with Sam, and the professionalism at every turn. I expect to come back soon, and would recommend Sam's to anyone who wants the ultimate Palau diving experience. Thank you for providing everything I imagined - and more.

Hi Sam's. My boyfriend Jon Bryan was in Palau for a week and went on to Thailand and Vietnam until the end of March. He just sent me a post card saying what a wonderful time he had on Sam's Tours Diving at Turtle Island. Sounds like a wonderful place and I cannot wait to visit.

Congratulations Sam, sounds like your business has really grown! It's been 7 years since my last visit. Seems like at that time, all the dive equipment was kept in a shipping container. I remember seeing a recent dive picture of JFK, Jr. and Daryl Hannah on your bulletin board. I still keep Palau postcards on my office wall. I assume the K.B. bridge has been replaced by now. Really enjoyed the diving and our stay at the PPR. Hope to get back one day with my youngest son to show him the great diving there.

This was our first diving trip; we were certified there at Sam's by Rich Roberts. It was a fabulous experience! Rich was absolutely the best: extremely knowledgeable, patient, and professional. After our certification, we spent everyday thereafter divig with Rich through Sam's and it was a marvelous adventure! We had other experienced divers in our boat and they all said we were ruined and would never be happy diving anywhere else because it doesn't get any better than Palau! We are planning our next dive trip and after reading in depth about other dive sites, we've decided to return to Palau. No where else can claim the diversity of sea flora and fawna and the incredible visibilty of Palua, so why go anywhere else! We emailed for months before our trip and I owe it all the Thomas. He was so patient and informative with my barage of questions. Once there, we were extended such gracious hospitality from eveyone, making us feel welcome and happy to be there. I would highly recommend Sam's. You won't find a more professional and well staffed operation anywhere else in Palau! Thank you again for all the happy memories. We look forward to seeing you again very soon! Bob and Marilyn Busch

We have been home now for 3 days and we still look at our watch and say "Well, They are now finishing the first dive of the day, or well, they are finished with the second dive". We miss Palau, the staff at Sam's and the beautiful diving adventures! JoeDyn we miss you!!!! David and I have traveled many places and seen many things, but this vacation was the best. It was totally due to all of you at Sam's. One of the best decisions we ever made was to use Sam's Tours. From the first e-mail from you, being picked up at PPR, walking into the shop, getting on the boat, we were treated like royalty. Everyone was so friendly and accomodating. JoeDyn was a dream come true as our personal guide! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this vacation our most memorable yet. I am totally spoiled now and nowhere else will do! Many, many thanks to everyone at Sam's for making our stay in Palau in early May such a memorable experience for us. The diving was unparalleled, but it was the guides, especially Omer, who made it special, taking the time to make sure we didn't miss even the tiniest of Palau's many underwater treasures. A special thank you to our great kayaking guide, Butler, too. He made our trips both educational and entertaining. We're already planning our return trip, and look forward to diving with Sam's again.

Hello people of Sam's Tours from Allen and the Brother Dave. Its with a little tear in my eye that I realize that I can't find the words to express our thanks and appreciation to all of you. Never the less, I would like to express a special thank you to our good friend and "water sherpa", a man we've all grown to love, but is not know to invest in shavers, and in our opinion is the best Dive Guide there is...Jonas. Also many thanks to our good buddy Kendyll for taking care of us in and out of the water. Jimmi, Nathan, and all the rest of the captains, we appreciate your hard work along with your betel nut! We miss the chew more than we thought we would. Another round of thanks goes out our crib-mate and pal, Thomas, Addella, Russel and everyone else working under the fluorescents. We had a great day of Kayaking with Shaft - There has to be more of that on the next trip. And this trip would not have been the same if it were not for Jason and Cecelia hookin us up at the Bottom Time Bar. Speaking of that, Dermot, your staff made the difference between a great trip and the kind we had...Wet and Wild! We should never have left, but we will be back soon. Allen (& Dave)

What a beautiful website! When I have to explain Palau to my co-workers I go right to this one. Last time I was there was in 98, so I'm overdue a visit back home, away from the hustle and bustle here. It's a bonus to have a family member on there too! So when I'm bored at work, I just come to this site and imagine i'm back home.......

Hard to believe I was listening to the crickets in the rocks, talking to the lizards in the jungle and swimming with the turtles and the schools of barracuda only two weeks ago, and now I'm listening to the jets overhead, the cars and buses on the way to work and other assorted socio-phonics. Palau is truly a paradise I wish to return to. Thanks especially to Maggie for creating a safe (for me and also for the fish) and fun dive vacation that has not only made me a happier and better person, but also made me the envy of the local SF'cans. - Brian

Sam,I still go back to the photos that were taken while i was station on the islands with the US Navy CAT Team 03-33. My fondest memories were from the fishing trips that we used to go on. That was the best time I had during my seven year hitch with the service. With any luck I will be able to return to the islands for a vacation in the near future for a few weeks and do some more fishing for some wahoo and the elusive bill fishes. Thanks again for the fishing trips and the memories and say hi to Jonathan for me. He's a good guide. thanks again Sean Gavin

We are back in Japan from our second visit at Sam's. It was really sweet of you guys to remember us...the word "Welcome back!" means much more than you could imagine to your customers. So allow me to thank each and every one of the wonderful staff who made our trip impeccably perfect...! JONAS...!! You are the BEST dive guide we've ever known..!Thank you so much for all the incredible magic you've shared with us. Your smile and sense of humor along with your precise instruction helped us relax and enjoy our dives 120%...! Ron...!! You were one of the major reasons for us to return to Sam's and you still are! Your kayak tour literally opened my eyes and changed my life...! It is truly an honor to be able to explore the pristine waters of Palau with you and your great guides. We were also very lucky to participate in your lecture. It was another eye-opener and I just ordered some of the books you recommended. We'll be back for more...!! JASON...! Hanging out with you at the bar is one of the things we enjoy the most at Sam's. We really hope to see you again and till then good luck with your job, school as well as wrestling. Thomas...! Our trip would not have been possible without your support. Thank you very much for all the arrangement you've made for us. Your presence at Sam's made its atmosphere even more pleaseing. Leo...! It's always fun to be on your boat. You know I'll be back and "be cooked" again so don't forget about me! Butler...! You are such a fun person to be with. You make us smile. Hope to see you again soon. I can go on and on with the list of the names of people that have been so kind to us... ladies at the office were always so sweet and helpful and ladies at the bar shared their wonderful smiles (and the food is GREAT!) One last thing I would like to mention is that visiting Sam's gives us chance to meet all the nice people from the globe. (Dave and Allen, the brothers from LA, hope you remember us. It was great diving with you guy!)That's another reason we cannot help but return to Sam's. Hope this year brings more joy, health and happiness to all of you. We would love to make our trip "annual." Thanks again for all that you've done for us. We miss you very very much! Yoko & Chris

Three friends & I went to Palau for 2 weeks, 7/27 thru 8/10/02, and the few words in this report can't even begin to express the fun we had. The first few days we dove with Sam's Tours on such famous sites as Big Drop Off, New Drop off, Turtle Cove, the Chuyo Maru, etc, etc. The dive boats are first class, twin engine, fast, clean; the dive masters thorough and friendly. The diving is spectacular, and Sams didn't cut any corners by doing only nearby dive sites. I had trouble with my Amphibico video housing early on and Kevin, the in-house photo shop operator scavenged parts together and fixed it. Thank you Kevin! The main focus and highlight of our trip was chartering the Eclipse, a 48 ft. sloop set up for scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, sailing and other adventures thru Sams Tours. John, the captain-owner is the perfect host, evermindful of your every need and knows Palau's zillion reefs like the back of his hand. If you were 'thinking' a cold beer would be nice, John was probably already handing you one. Charlie, the charming female cook would suprise us at every meal with great food usually with a Chinese twist. We wanted an optional dive guide, and John provided us with Rich, an excellent local dive master. Rich would evaluate current, visibility, tides, etc. to determine the very best dive sites for each dive. He was very helpful in pointing out unusual critters for me to video tape. I went home with 11 hours of 3 chip digital tape. The bottom line, I highly recommend the Eclipse as a charter and Sam's tours in general as the best USA oriented dive operation for your Palau vacation.

There are no words to explain how wonderful my trip to Palau was. This was my first dive trip, and WOW, what a way to start! I will be hard pressed to find good diving spots in the future, so there is no doubt that I will be back. I want to thank you all for everything. Very professional shop with very kind, personable, and funny people. The atmosphere is awesome too, I found myself always wanting to hang out at Bottom Time to run into new friends and enjoy good company. Definitely the best vacation I've ever had and I'm very sad to be home and back to normal. I will also miss those little lunches in between dives. I've never been forced to eat with chopsticks before and they turned out to be great fun, I was quite excited when I got the hang of them! I'll have to find some good Asian restaurants in town to practice my new skill :-) and maybe they'll serve me in a little foil tray so I can sit back, smile, and remember the great times I had in Palau. Kudos to you and your staff for making such a great impression! Can someone please send me Karen's email if she doesn't mind? I didn't get the chance to swing back by before my flight and tell her bye and thanks.

This fall marks 32 years since my friend, Mike Roper, and I visited Palau. We were 19 years old and spent 2 months in the south pacific. Two weeks in Palau with a native by the name of Robert. I don't remember his last name and would really like to get in touch with him. We meet on the plane from Gaum, he was returning from the states where he had been a forigen exchange student, I think in Washington state. We lived with him and his sisters family. We have always wanted to thank them again for the unbeleivable time they showed us, but the following January 71' I was drafted and joined the Navy after 4years have lived in Dallas.... If anyone knows Robert or how to reach him or his family it would be so much help. Hope to return to the most beautifull place and people in the world. Greetings from the highest town in the USA. So please bear with us from the lack of O2's I am already starting to feel. Just walked in the door. Didn't get bumped-off, like we had hoped. But did get bumped up to first class HNL to Houston. A Blessing for finally getting some sleep which was way before our dives on Saturday, which also means not since before the Cinqo de quartro party. Dermot, Thank you for taking such good care of us. But all we have been thinking about is that fact that we had such an AWESOME Land tour with Malahi, that we didn't get back until 8pm. AND MISSED ALL OF YOU!!! No one was around. Boo Hooo! Didn't even pay our bill! But since we didn't say good bye, we'll just have to come back. Arsen, Jonas, Geoff and Kristina. Pease keep your eyes out for a priority package in a few days. Tony, no, no, no you, your friends and I already have a date, say 4-5 hours after the Women's Final (US 18- NZ 14) at Joe Banana's. The only thing I have to say to Brooksie after meeting her and seeing her shop, "Darling, the downstairs bathroom is to die for!". I want a basin like that. I have a feeling you, me and the hubbies will all get together again for dinner when we return. Just for the giggles Honey. Finally a word to everybody associated with Sam's. Including the talented, environmentally conscious and FUN guests Sam's attracts, We want to thank you all for the first class service that made our stay with you better than we could have imagined. Your attention to details was a personal experience that we truly appreciated. Omer, when you whipped out the magnifying glass, you blew my mind, quoting Ron's opinion of diving here. The Kayak trip was a fairy tale dream. Ron, you made us feel like we were in Never, Neverland. I know we will again see you and Leticia. On the sleds and tele's perhaps? I know we'll see Kevin on the slopes. Kevin you are a professional with a big heart. Be proud of your work. Well, our clocks began ticking again, How sad, time to start growing again. BRRRR!!! I'm cold, even on a bright sunny day on the Continental Divide. Still no rain or snow the High Country but lots of fires already. But the Gods were happy with us, after freezing and breaking our pipes 8 weeks ago, we came home to water! With all of our Thanks, Praise and Love, Pete and Tink aka Sue and Mike

Your entire staff was fun, informative, flexible & courteous. It was a real pleasure! By the way, if you get pictures of Rembrandt's wall that you are publishing for sale - I'd be interested. I didn't have an underwater camera when I was there and I would love to have a picture to show my friends. Thanks, -k

Tony - Many thanks. I'll look forward to hearing from you again. We certainly enjoyed our time with your group - Christina was wonderful and so was Ron (he really knows his stuff!!). We just were very disappointed that the weather was so nasty that we missed some great dive spots. Such is life, right? Sallie

Hi Tony, Thanks for the local news from Paradise. Water, water everywhere and not a drop to put out the fire. Maybe the CBs could think up a solution for the situation. Couldn't they fashion some kind of fire truck with pick-up? You'd think. Maybe if enough things burn down the truck will appear. Misa and I continue to enjoy our dive trip through photos, telling friends about everything and just savoring the memories that will always be with us. In my studio I see my paintings better. Knew this was going to happen. And I am in love with blues, as I always have been, but the visions have an added clarity that I can only thank the 'powers that be' for getting to see and feel in a heightened state of mind. I believe that's called 'inspiration'. If it hadn't been for the wonderful people encountered on this trip the doors to supreme enjoyment of the kind we had wouldn't have been wide open. So thanks to you all once again, you made all the difference! Take care and don't go near burning buildings.............Dorothy

I wish I were there diving instead of sitting in below-zero-wind-chill Green Bay, WI today! Time to break out the Palau video again, I guess. We had such a great time on our vacation there. Sam's was the best, friendliest dive shop we've ever had the pleasure of diving with. And the lunch on the boat was great. I dream of those little foil trays with the tiny soy sauce and wish you guys would deliver! My favorite memory is when Arson took us to the little lake with the soft coral arch and we swam and snorkeled after lunch and had a great time. It's so beautiful there. Just like everyone's dreams of paradise. Are Fern and Arson still there? They were our guides that week and we had such a great time with them. Their friendly personalities and sense of humor made our vacation one to remember. Tell them the Malcolms say hello. Looking forward to a package from Palau! Thanks, Barbara Malcolm

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks for all your help. For many years I kept putting off a visit to Palau, and I'm now asking myself why. Thanks also go out to Matt, Kevin and Tanji for looking after us. We enjoyed their company and appreciated their expertise. It would have been nice to spend more time on Peleliu, but I think we had Tanji wore out. Bailey called a couple days after I got home and told me he had a great response at the show in new jersey. Sold all his books and came home with a "ton of orders" (I'm not sure how many orders are in a ton). He also wanted to know what he missed in palau and said he may have an opportunity to return this summer (lucky him). That's a little to soon for me, but possibly next year. Until then, take care. Tony, Just wanted to say thanks for your help in coordinating everything for our week in Palau. Just got back into Tokyo and the sub 70 degree weather. But I got a lot of good underwater photos to help remember everything we saw. Two years in a row is starting to sound like an annual tradition to me! We are definitely going to try to get down there again next spring! Thanks again, and please tell Jonas and Jimmy we had a great week with them! Scott Winzeler and Family

Hello Tony and Dive Staff, This is long overdue... but thank you for making my trip to Palau, a wonderful and memorable experience. I spent 10 days in Palau, 7 diving with Sams Tours. Although, I brought typhoon Mitag with me from Yap, you all helped me have great diving days no matter how bad the boat rides were!! The rain and wind made it fun, and when the sun finally came out...what a joy. I especially want to thank Omar and Geoff for their fantastic guidance under the waves! And Simon and the other boat drivers for not losing me!! I've come home with new stories which have to include my reef hook! And Omar's skill at tying those knots under water. I had alot of fun hanging out at the bar, and I'm glad you joined Dorothy, Misa , the Seabee's and me, that Saturday night at the Italian Restaurant (Cap.. something). I went to NYC this past Wednesday to get together with Dorothy. Next time, I have to lug my projector up to show them my slides. Sadly, my slides don't compare to Kevin's...Anyway, you have a top notch group and that includes the kayakers, too. take care, Kate Mitchell

Hello Tony, Greetings from MontrÈal. As per short text below, copied from your e-mail, I had the pleasure of diving with Sam Tours recently while visiting Palau. Although it was rather a short period of stay and dive in Palau, I thoroughly enjoyed my activities in your beautiful Island. I take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for making my visit to Palau, a vacation to remember. If ever I have the good fortune to return to Micronesia and visit Palau, I certainly will have no hesitation to seek your help again. Thanks again to your organization. Sincerely, Chandrakant Shah

Thanks for setting us up with the diving and taking good care of us while we were there. All of us had a great time (a few problems getting home, it took 57 hours)but all in all it was great. I just wanted to let you know that both Matt and Elchang took most excellent care of us, and added to the week immensely, Elchang's boat driving was a pleasure to watch. We all really appreciated all their help and advise, they took terrific care of us. Thanks again, Thomas Frasher

Hi, I finally got my binoculars back from our local camera repair, now in great working order. I want to thank Kevin Davidson again for the first aid -- I was able to use them through the rest of our trip in Pohnpei and Hawaii, a real lifesaver, as they were opaque when he got them! You'll be interested to know that Canon wouldn't work on them -- said it was economically unfeasible and the electronics were corroded, sent them back without touching the lenses. Now the lenses are perfectly clear and the elctronics are still working, corroded or not. I'm letting their Customer Service know what I think of them. Thanks again to Kevin, and to Tony for arranging it. We had a wonderful time on Palau, the best snorkeling of our lives. I did quite a lot of diving (450 hrs), and the snorkeling there is better than the diving most places, though it still annoys me to surface between dives. Sky Hilts, and Anne Hilts

Having just returned from Palau, I wanted to take a minute to thank Sam's Tours for undoubtedly giving us the best diving experience of our lives! We were fortunate enough to have Jonas as our dive guide the entire time, and if they get any better than he is at his job, I honestly can't imagine! I was there for a little over 2 weeks, and dove most of that time. He never had a day off, and he truly seemed happy about it, as if our trip was all that mattered to him. He is also very knowledgeable under the water and just an all around fun and safe person to have as a guide. Our boat captain's were Arson and Johnathan and they too were spectacular! The boats were kept clean; they were always near when we came up, and when we left something on the boat, they made sure we got it back. While honesty is expected, it is still a nice surprise and worth mentioning. My girlfriend was sure she had lost her 300 dollar sunglasses and agonized it all night, but then the next morning, Arson had them for her! I too have my own business, so I know how special it is to have such wonderful employees! Also, your office staff with their everpresent smiles and good humor, and also to whoever makes the lunches-Thank You as well. I'm not sure it's 5 star food, but after a dive or two, no food in the world has ever tasted better! Ha. Again; from someone who also owns his own business, my hat is off to Sam. No one has such great employees for long without taking care of them as they are so wonderfully taking care of you, and as we were there 2 years ago, and everything was great then as well, he's obviously doing a lot of things right. Thank You all again for all you did to make this vacation of our's literally the best ever. While we are not sure when we'll be back, we are sure that when we do return, we will be using Sam's and asking for Jonas! Sincerely, Jim Nelson & Laura F.

SAM'S is the best!!!! I was diving with you guys for 2 weeks in June 2000. I remember diving with Kendyll when she was still just a "tourist"!!! The divemasters were really informative and Ron's kayak trip was a great way to end the Palau experience....ie...it was the "day" of a full moon and we were able to visit the "Blue Room" and beyond!!! Say "Hello" to the locals for me...ie....Jeff, Tanja, Rene (at Kramers) and Peter. I hope to make it back out there the end of 2002!!!!

Hello all. We just returned home from 7 days in Palau and are already missing it! It was definately everything we were hoping and MORE. We chose Sam's to dive with because of the outstanding reviews that we recieved from several sources. This was the second time my husband dove with Sam's and my first. Each and every dive was extremely exciting. Every request was met with a smile by the staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that each day was a memorable one. The lunches that were provided were great. A special thanks to Tony for answering all our questions during our "planning" stage and for welcoming us at the airport, Bradly our boat captain for going out of his way to make sure I got all the pictures I wanted by slowing the boat for me, Omer our dive guide for showing us the "little" things as well as the "big" and always making us smile, and last but not least.. Jake our Kayak guide for trying to talk me into jumping off the 20ft cliff and not making fun of me when I chickened out and only did the 10ft rope swing! We hope to return soon.
