With $5 in his pocket and a boat gifted to him by his stepfather, Sam Scott opened Sam’s Tours in 1990. During the time, scuba diving was slowly gaining popularity around the island. News spread about Palau's unique biodiversity and quickly attracted savvy divers, researchers, and avid underwater enthusiasts. Today, Sam's Tours is internationally renowned as the top tour company in Palau. We only work with the top tour guides to ensure you have a spectacular dive and adventure experience. At Sam’s Tours we do our best to minimize waste impact:

• We do not use any disposable plastic bottles--lunch is served in reusable containers
• We provide each guest with a personal reusable water bottle for the duration of their stay at Sam’s
• We have a triple filtration system with safe to drink water
• We do not serve canned or bottled soft drinks.
• We are a zero trace tour operator
• Our lunches are prepared by local vendors.
• We have, and strictly enforce, environmental rules for diving. These include no touching or feeding of marine life, no littering on islands or off the boat, and a no gloves policy
• We offer Reef Safe sunscreen products and apparel from Prawno and Neptunic.
• Sam's Tours Logo Pro Shop is proud to be a certified Turtle Friendly retailer.

Our custom-built boats are made for maximum safety and comfort. Each boat is equipped with twin two-stroke engines, VHF Radios, DAN Emergency Oxygen Kits, First Aid Kids, and a full canopy for sun protection. All of our captains are licensed and experienced with Palau's waters and reefs.
